The 2008 Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association (LSA) Sheriffs’ and Wardens’ Annual Training Conference and Exhibition is drawing  near and we’re  making arrangements to ensure that we bring you the best conference possible.   Destin  is the Conference site and we’re inviting you to join us  from Aug 4 - 7, 2008 at the Sandestin Beach Hilton.

The Conference is planned with an eye towards practical information and training opportunities to address some of today’s important law enforcement, executive and corrections issues.  The Louisiana Sheriffs’ Task Force and Homeland Security discussions will take center stage.

You may go to www.lsa.org to register for the conference.  You can also register for the golf tournament and make your hotel reservations all from the LSA website.  Once you have completed your registration, simply print your confirmation and return that form with your payment to the LSA office.  That’s it!     
                                                                                                                                             
Exhibitors’ Fees have been set at $800 for registration materials postmarked on or before July 1, 2008.  After July 1, Exhibitors’ Fees will be $900.  For vendors wishing to register onsite at the conference, fees will be $1000 and booth size will be strictly dependant upon availability.  Late registrations generally result in vendors receiving smaller and less prominent booths for exhibition purposes.  So, get your registrations to us as early as possible to ensure that your exhibition space is reserved today!

The Vendor’s Exhibition area will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a continental breakfast each morning in the exhibition area.  This has proven to be a very effective way of bringing a number of the conference participants into the exhibition area, offering maximum exposure for each of you.

We have also planned a reception on the evening of Tuesday, Aug 5th at 6:00 P.M.  This reception has been planned with vendor exposure specifically in mind.  The reception essentially brings the entire conference into the exhibition area and allows all of the conference participants a chance to meet and greet each of you and learn more about your product.

Registration for Exhibitors opens Monday, August 4th at 9:00 A.M. and will close at 5:00 P.M. You MUST pick up your registration materials by 5:00 P.M. Monday so that you can set up your booth in time for the Vendors’ Breakfast on the following morning. If you do not have your vendor ID badge you will not be allowed entry into the exhibition area on Monday evening! Security will be instructed to make no exceptions for anyone and LSA personnel cannot reopen the Registration room once it is closed for the night.

The Registration Desk will reopen Tuesday, August 5th at 9:00 A.M. If you wait until Tuesday morning to register you will be busy setting up your exhibit while others are networking with conference participants. Please make every effort to come in on Monday during registration hours and get your registration packets so that you can be set up for Tuesday morning.

The Sandestin Beach Hilton  has extended a special room rate for conference participants of $225 + $14 Resort Fee + Tax.  In order to receive this special rate, YOU MUST MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS BY JULY 1, 2008 AND INFORM THE HOTEL STAFF THAT YOU ARE WITH THE LOUISIANA SHERIFFS’ ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE.  You may make reservations at the Sandestin Beach Hilton  by calling (850) 267-9500.
