The 2023 LSA Jail Training Conference is scheduled for Sunday, April 2 – Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the L’auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles (www.ldlcasino.com).  L’auberge is blocking rooms for us at the rate of $99 for a double or king (check-in time is 4:00 PM).  The room rate is subject to a 15.20% sales and accommodations tax.  Any additional guests will need to be listed on the reservation or they will be denied access to the guest room.  A $20 surcharge will be applied to each third and fourth adult occupying a room.  A maximum of four (4) guests are allowed per room. There will be an additional $13.99 plus tax charged as a resort fee.  The fee includes Pool and Lazy River Access, Pool Towel Usage, Guestroom WIFI, Fitness Center Access, Bottled Water, In-Room Coffee, HBO, Unlimited Local Calls, Self-Service Business Center, Print Boarding Pass, Overnight Valet Parking, and Turndown Service upon request.  The hotel reserves the right to change the Resort Fee and inclusions at any time.

Make your hotel reservations by calling the L’auberge Casino Resort at 866-580-7444 and use group reservation code SLSA23.  You have until February 24th to make your reservations under the guaranteed group rate.  Please make your reservation early before the block fills up.  Attached you will find a copy of the Louisiana tax-exempt form for housing.  Make copies as needed and be prepared to present your completed form upon check-in at the hotel.

The agenda is being finalized and will be added to this web page soon and or emailed.  The conference has been extended a half-day into Wednesday so that additional training can be provided and will conclude with the door prizes from all of the agencies.

Our social event for Monday night will be the Vendors' Reception in the Vendor Showroom.  This event is scheduled early enough to allow those who want to go out for dinner enough time to do both.   In addition to Vendor Door Prizes we will draw for a SPECIAL DOOR PRIZE during this event.  On Tuesday evening, we will have Dinner & Entertainment and will have a drawing for another SPECIAL DOOR PRIZE.

Our attendance was very exceptional last year and we are planning to have another big year.  Once again, we are asking you to notify any police department with a jail facility in your parish and extend a personal invitation for them to attend.  Make sure that your medical staff gets a copy of this information as well.

Additionally, we need an accurate count for Tuesday night, therefore, please do not request tickets for Tuesday night if you do not plan to attend.

A registration form is enclosed and should be duplicated for other registrants before completing.  Make copies for your jail and health care staff that may be attending as well as local police departments.  Mail your registration as soon as possible.  Also note the higher registration fee after March 18th

We are no longer offering a training only registration category. Registration fees have increased $10.00.

Vendors are an essential part of our conference.  Not only do we get a look at the products and services they have to offer, but, they provide us with direct support.  If you know of any vendor(s) that need to be contacted, please notify:

Greg Tête

We are asking that each agency bring at least one door prize for every registrant their agency registers.  Please affix a label with your agency name on any prizes that you bring.  If you have any questions regarding door prizes, contact:

Carissa Toucheque

We also would like to have a variety of items for ditty bags.  We usually make 400 bags and some of the vendors supply items for these
